Backpack Program
Supporters for Education through the assistance of the Sargent Central Public School staff and teachers offer a free supply of nutritious meals and snacks for children over the weekends and extended breaks. Backpacks of nutritious food are placed discreetly into student backpacks on the last school day before a weekend or break. Any student enrolled at Sargent Central Public School can receive these weekend bags of food.
All food is nonperishable and provided to children free of charge. The information provided is confidential and a new application is needed each school year.
